2014 Mentoring

In simple words, Mentorship means two person establish trust and relationship, in which one person share experience or skill to another person. The one who has expertise to share is called Mentor, while the other one is called Mentee or Protege.

2014 Hiking Goal

I had been long for visiting Jiu Zhai Guo, Sichuan, to see its beautiful landscape and autumn leaf color change. In 2014 Oct, I joined a 6 days tour travel to Chengdu, Huanglong, Jiu Zhai Guo, and Mount. Emei. During these 6 days, I walked about 30 hours, and hiked up 1.5KM. The mountain view was fascinating. It was a wonderful trip.

After I returned to my home town, I decided to set a hiking goal of 2014-15, that is,

2014 Terminology - Minimalism

Minimalism is a new terminology I learned in 2014.

Minimalism is a philosophy about maximizing the usage on the limited resource. The Minimalist philosophy has been applied but not limited to Art, Architecture, and Computing.

In 2014, I read YouTube videos and blogs about simple living and de-cluttering. I also found my home was out of space for new purchase, and I forget things sitting in the closet for years. I think it is a sign to de-clutter some of my belongings, such that I use every purchase items without wasting as well as free up space for other purpose.

JiuZhaiGou Sichuan

The Jiu Zhai Gou located in Jiuzhai Valley National Park, Sichuan, China. (九寨沟, 四川, 中國)
It is home to nine Tibetan Villages. Hence, the Chinese word JiuZhaiGou literally means nine village valley.
The Park is in the Min Shan (岷山) Mountain Range, and its elevations ranging between 1,990m (6,529 feet) to 4,764m (15,630 feet) above sea level.
